Your customer data is the key to unlocking sales beyond the tasting room and wine clubs. At Call for Wine we follow our proven method of touching customers to allow us to not only place calls from the data you provide initially, but to make updates, cleanse the data, and garner additional customer information by profiling each one. In profiling your customers, we can isolate key buyers of certain wines and tailor calls and offers accordingly.
On our first pass, we call every single consumer on your initial list and disposition them. We establish a Do-Not-Call list for those who don’t want to be contacted again and segregate phone numbers that don’t work for updating later. Customers who are contactable are scheduled for contact two to three times a year.
The Call for Wine Difference:
- Consumers are only contacted 2 – 3 times a year to prevent over-calling or "list burnout"
- We call non-wine club customers, an untapped resource for many wineries
- We pass any issues or concerns the customer has to you immediately so you can follow up with that customer and make them happy again.
- If a customer asks us not to call in the future we happily oblige and add them immediately to the Do Not Call list, then flag them as such in the database
- We become customers’ personal ‘wine concierges’ – and in turn they often call us to inquire about new specials or requests to purchase
Database Cleanup
- We get new addresses, new phone numbers, and new email addresses for any bad data – updated at least twice annually per each list
- Obtain new shipping addresses and update expired credit card data for wine club shipments
- We remove customers that can no longer drink or have passed away, and flag those who are not drinking for a certain period of time (pregnancy, post-surgery, etc.)
Profile Customers
- Ask customer opinions (conversationally in the call) about your wines and services
- Determine who the primary household wine connoisseur or buyer is
- Track what wines they like specific to the winery
- Ask when they last visited the winery and tasting room
- Determine buying patterns and establish long-term relationships for repeat buys and return visits to your winery
